Joe

Joe

Joe is suffering from severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and coronary artery disease. He is oxygen dependent and must carry oxygen tanks with him any time he leaves the house.

Depending on how long he’ll be away, he sometimes has to bring six tanks with him and wheel them around in a grocery cart. He had been trying for over two years to get a portable oxygen concentrator but with no success.

After calling five different charities, Joe reached out to The Paul Jackson Fund and was overjoyed when The Fund purchased a portable oxygen concentrator for him. About the size of a cereal box, the oxygen concentrator allows Joe to now travel about more freely and without worry.

“What can I say but thank you and God Bless You for giving me back my dignity and some sense of normality. And to not look into people’s eyes and see such pity for me. “
~Always Grateful, Joe
